At DILE we put all our teaching resources at the service of our two basic teaching method principles:
The student is the focal point of all teaching. At DILE our teaching methods are designed for our students to learn: the aim is to create a stimulus for each student. This means, among other things, that all our effort is put into making Spanish an integral part of your knowledge and your life. We base our teaching on your needs, your attitude, your ability, the time you have available and your reasons for learning Spanish. We make full use of both significative teaching and the inductive approach, which help us to help you. |

A language, in this case Spanish, is first and foremost a tool for communicating and for socialising. All the activities and teaching materials used at DILE are intended to improve our students communication skills. We perfect your language skills, your ability to adapt the way you speak to every situation, your knowledge of culture and your discourse skills and strategies so that you are able to use Spanish to deal efficiently with tasks and problems you can already solve in your own language. |

In order to put these two principles into practice, we programme the class activities so that communication is the nucleus of the class. This is why we systematically apply task-based teaching and design the activities around your needs or wishes. We consider your acquisition of speaking and listening skills to be of prime importance, but we know that Spanish should not be taught in the same way to a person who wants to be able to speak to friends or travel, as to someone who intends to use the language in business or at university. For this reason we will also develop the other language skills and bear in mind your needs and expectations.
