Levels






















On the first day of the course, all students except beginners do a placement test so that the teachers can ascertain their level. The course programmes are divided into 8 levels. You can move up to the next level when you have done a 3- or 4-week course (80 to 100) class hours.
Level

Students’ characteristics

Beginner
If you have never studied Spanish before.
Elementary
If you have studied a little Spanish, or you have studied it some time ago and you can only use very simple structures and the most basic vocabulary you need to get by.
Pre-Intermediate
If you can cope in common everyday situations but have considerable difficulty understanding spoken Spanish and expressing your ideas when speaking or writing.
Intermediate
If you can read and understand easily and express your ideas fairly fluently in everyday situations, but you still make many mistakes.
Upper-intermediate
If you can use fairly complex language structures, have a reasonable vocabulary range and quite well-developed speaking and writing skills.
Advanced
If you have considerable reading and listening comprehension skills and can express your ideas fluently in everyday situations as well as in the professional field.
Upper-advanced
If you have no comprehension problems, you have a wide, cultured vocabulary, can use complex grammar structures confidently and correctly.
Proficiency
If you are practically bilingual and need to understand all kinds of texts and be able to express yourself perfectly in all fields, for academic or professional reasons.
