Designed to fulfil the needs of a large number of our students with a proven and efficient combination of the Base Course, which is the same in all the courses, and a wide range of optional courses.

There are three types of courses available, depending on the number of optional courses you choose:
Base Course / 101

Content > Theory and practice of Spanish language grammar structures
> Practice exercises to extend vocabulary and develop grammar usage
> Communication practice: listening comprehension and speaking practice techniques
> Written Spanish: reading comprehension, text analysis and composition

The student should choose the optional courses bearing in mind what level is required for each one.

A1 > from beginner
A2, A3, A4, A5, A6 y B7 > from pre-intermediate
B2, B3, B4, B5 y B7 > from intermediate
B1 > from upper-intermediate
B8 > depends on the level of the exam the student wishes to take

Type of student > Young people and adults who want to make fast progress in Spanish for academic or personal reasons, and who, in some cases, also need to study a specific field (literature, culture, Spanish for specific purposes, exam preparation…)
Level > Beginner to upper-advanced
> As well as division according to students’ knowledge of Spanish, we also try to separate by age so that the groups are made up of people with similar characteristics.
Students/group > Average 4 or 5 (maximum 8)
Dates > Almost every Monday of the year
Aims > Developing language skills (listening and reading comprehension, speaking and writing skills) in order to improve the student’s fluency and Spanish usage.
> Learning the information taught in the chosen optional course.
Teaching method > The courses focus on communication and systematically apply task-based learning, giving prime importance to the acquisition of speaking and listening skills.
> The teachers are first and foremost a learning stimulus for our students and put into practice both significative teaching and the inductive method.
> The classroom tasks and activities (practice of grammar structures, roleplays, acting situations, pairwork, presentations, discussions, dialogues…) include functional contents and real-life situations.
> The teaching materials include up-to-date written texts and audiovisual scripts.
> Students are required to play an active part in the optional courses, both inside and outside the classroom.
